Christmas has been a big occasion in Blanchland since the monks first sang their carols in the 12th-century cloisters that now form our lovely gardens. • Traditional Christmas lunch with all the fabulous trimmings and a bit of Crewe sparkle.  A wintry walk to follow or a snooze by the fireside perhaps...
• Christmas night fireside supper
• Boxing Day is just how you want to spend it - visit a nearby town to stretch your legs, have a moorland explore or relax and cosy up with that book you've been gifted.
• A final a 'la carte dinner to round off the festive feels with a quiet evening fireside and a traditional game or two in the Crypt bar if you're feeling up to it!
