But now it is time to finally reveal what our handsome building has become.
Once the keeper to the village of Blanchland, The Gatehouse today stands proud as our brand spanking new foodie haven.
Primed for dinner parties’ a-la chefs table, cookery demos served up Northumberland style,
business meetings with a difference and a wee bit of revelry of course,
the magic in our medieval vision has well and truly come to life.
And with an open kitchen beating at its heart, you won’t find anywhere else quite like it in the moors.

The Crewe Supper Club
with Simon Hicks
An evening spent in the care of our Head Chef, supper clubs are our ode to the seasons. Arrive to nibbles by the fire and chats in the kitchen, before tucking into a 3 course feast celebrating the very best of spring.

An evening with Martin Sweeney
We are kidnapping Sweeney all the way from the big smoke, for one night and one night only. Grab the chance to Q&A your way through aperitifs with one of London’s finest culinary artistes, before indulging in a 3 course SURPRISE meal, put together just for you and paired with 2 rather delicious goblets of wine.

Sip & Supper
Wylam brewery have been taking the world of pumps by storm since they arrived on the scenItn 2000. It seems only right therefore that we invite them along to pair up some of Chef's cheeky numbers with some quench worthy local brews. The evening includes dinner, a fair few tasters and some inside knowledge from the best in the game!

Director of Sacchins
A northern star of culinary excellence, Sacchin’s is on everyones list of ‘to-go-to’s’ and with Bob at the helm (a perfectionist in Punjabi cuisine), how could it not? All ours for the night, you will find him in the Demo kitchen aperitifs at the ready, on hand to chat before treating you to a whirlwind 3 course supper - a glass or 2 of wine included.

Skipping the starters and main and jumping straight to dessert, this gem of a day-time-demo is all about how to knock up simple but beautiful puds. Talking steaming, baking and even some swirls, tickets include tea, coffee & biscuits, lunch and a cheeky chance at dipping your finger in the bowl!
